USERS OF SOCIAL MEDIA ABOUT AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION: CASE OF THE REPUBLIC OF MORDOVIA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annotation. <\/strong>The article examines the peculiarities of perception of amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation among users of popular regional publics of the Republic of Mordovia. The author analyzes the mood of people in the virtual space from April 1 to June 7, 2020. He relies on the theory of multistage communication, the theory of communicative action and discourse analysis. The results of the study show that users of opposition resources show the greatest involvement in the discussion of amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The greatest involvement is demonstrated by the recordings that contain emotional connotations. A three weeks before the voting procedure in the regional segment of social networks, a campaign was conducted to devalue it, the risks of falsifying the plebiscite were described in detail and the ideas of a boycott were expressed. Basically, such ideas sounded in protest or neutral communities in relation to the authorities, however, some negative comments from users were met on pro-government platforms. The coronavirus pandemic did not have a meaningful impact on online discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
