FATHERS AS TRANSMITTERS OF FAMILY VALUES: A SOCIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF NEEDS AND BARRIERS IN DIGITAL SPACE (CASE STUDY OF THE REPUBLIC OF MORDOVIA)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This article addresses the issue of low paternal involvement in the construction of positive family-oriented media discourse in Russian regions. Based on a survey of fathers from the Mordovia designed to examine their motivational core, thematic preferences, and the ideas about the structural characteristics of their online communities, as well as the conditions underlying the formation of a \u201cresponsible father\u201d identity, the study argues for the importance of developing father-blogger communities as a channel for the dissemination of traditional family values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The integration of a structural-functional approach with theories of media consumption and discursive identity enables an assessment of the transformative potential of blogging practices in challenging the stereotype of the \u201cbreadwinner father\u201d in favor of models of the \u201cinvolved\u201d and \u201ccaring\u201d father. It also allows for the differentiation of patterns of respondent participation, ranging from content producers to consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The article is intended for researchers in social communication studies, specialists in family policy, and representatives of non-profit organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
